Description

Kanuka  "New batch and our last of the 2024 season.
This batch has not been Lab tested but if from the same inland Mahurangi West site, 
so very similar in taste to our last batch 15 (67MGO) 
A great honey for the pantry, and the benefits of a superfood!
This Kanuka Honey is loved because of its fresh zingy flavour and special
health properties, harvested inland on our Mahurangi West peninsular...
This 2024 seasons Kanuka is bountiful, and we have many batches !

Our peninsular is covered in Kanuka.  It comes into flower shortly after the manuka,
the drifts of weepy branches laden with small cream flowers cover our hills and valleys,
and the bees go crazy for it!  The nectar has a distinct green tinge and the wax has
is a vivid limey yellow, stunning to see!
This Kanuka Honey contains Peroxide Activity, similar to its cousin Manuka.
The health benefits are reputed to aid gut bacteria and digestion.
Intensive studies have been carried out on skin conditions, including eczema and rosacea,
with Kanuka being as effective as commercial chemical laden treatments, without the side
effects from prolonged use !
A wonderful honey with the added benefit of a super-food!
